Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) is a potentially lifesaving treatment for patients in cardiac arrest when the circulation can't be restored by conventional CPR. New guidelines

Poor predictors of survival for cardiac arrest include CPR for greater than 30 The future of ECPR will require a combined effort of the healthcare systems,

The ECPR region has incorporated ECPR therapy into the out-of-hospital cardiac arrest algorithm. Within the ECPR Protocol, full standard advanced cardiac life support treatments will continue up until the time of ECMO initiation. The anticipated enrolment in this group is 70 patients. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation CPR (ECPR), otherwise known as extracorporeal life support, offers an alternative to such refractory cardiac arrest cases. As hospitals have limited resources, it is important to devise effective patient selection methods, and improve our understanding and experience of ECPR to ensure the best outcome. ECPR (extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is an emerging strategy for refractory cardiac arrest. A number of Scandinavian centers now run ECPR programs, However, establishing and improving an ECPR program is complicated.

Awareness and usage of ECPR are increasing all over the world.

The association between the time from arrest to extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) and survival from out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is unclear. The aim of this study was to determine whether time to ECPR is associated with survival in OHCA. Methods. We analysed the Korean national OHCA registry from 2013 to 2016.
